Wireless Frequency Planner
List every system you need (e.g. 4× G50, 8× H50, 4× V50), add optional exclusions, then calculate one jointly compatible frequency set across all bands.
Use at your own risk. Frequency coordination depends on local TV occupancy, building RF noise, antenna systems, and firmware. US 600 MHz rules change by license class. Always scan on site and check FCC / local rules before deploying. This tool is a planning aid only. Always verify against manufacturer documentation, local regulations, and on-site RF scans before a show.
Frequency planner
Channels I need
Add a row per system/band and how many channels. Each row shows its verified MHz range.
| System / band | Qty | Range |
|---|
Exclusions (optional)
Comma-separated: single freqs or lo-hi ranges.
Advanced: spacing & IMD
Calculate
Coordinates all rows jointly (cross-band IMD). Typical shows finish in under a second.
Assigned frequencies
| Row | Ch# | Freq (MHz) | Band | Nearest IMD | IMD near |

What this wireless frequency planner does
It builds a compatible frequency set inside a chosen OEM band while avoiding occupied TV channels, FCC exclusions, and selected IMD products.
IMD checks
2TX 3rd-order (default), optional 3TX 3rd-order (f₁+f₂−f₃), and 5th-order (3f₁−2f₂), with configurable spacing and guard.
Tips
- Scan the venue — calculators cannot see local RF.
- Enable US FCC exclusions for domestic shows.
FAQ
What is 2TX third-order IMD?
Products at 2f₁−f₂ and 2f₂−f₁. If they land near a third carrier, you can get audible interference.
Which US frequencies are banned for wireless mics?
After the 600 MHz auction, 617–652 and 663–698 MHz are not available. Ch 37 (608–614) is radio astronomy. Guard/duplex segments have power/license limits.
Are OEM band presets exact?
Presets cite manufacturer frequency guides. Some legacy codes are marked unverified. Always scan on site.
Coordinating wireless?
